At Hymen's Altar
Just as the organ was pealing forth the "Wedding March," Mr. Jesse
S. Thompson of Wilson and Miss Mary M. Thompson of Cambria stood at
Hymen's altar, on Wednesday evening, Nov. 13th. The marriage took place
at the residence of Henry B. Thompson, Cambia - the bride's father. The
bride was tastefully and fitting attired, and the fond fair appeared to
charming advantage. The officiating clergyman was Rev. D. L. Williams,
Cambria. There were a goodly number of guests, mostly young people and
the flower of the community. The presents were many, varied, useful and
valuable. The bountiful supper which followed the ceremony was all that
any epicure might desire. The whole affair was enjoyable. The young
couple left for Niagara Falls, intending to take in Rochester and New
York on their wedding tour. Their friends wish them joy and a pleasant
journey.
