Thomas MCINTYRE: Born about 1792 Scotland. Married Elizebeth BROWN on
01 January 1815 in Porter, Niagara County, New York.(There was no summer
the next year, 1816. The area suffered an ice storm on the fourth of
July.) "Betsey" was born 31 March 1794. She died 07 November 1872 and is
buried in the Hadley Village Cemetery, Lapeer County, Michigan. Thomas
was a veteran of the War of 1812 he served in the New York Militia under
the command of Col. Hugh W. DOBBIN. Sgt. Thomas McIntyre was captured by
the British at the Battle of Queenston and after three days was released
to Captain James CRONK, who, in later years died in Flint, Michigan.
Thomas was recycled into battle and was taken prisoner at the Battle of
Youngstown, Niagara County, N.Y. Later, Elizabeth was denied her widows
pension. Thomas and "Betsey" had at least three of their first children
in New York.
About 1820 Thomas, an elder of The Christian Church
was called upon by the church to move his family to Newmarket, Ontario,
Canada. Once there, he became involved in the organization of a number
of churches. After about twenty years the family moved to New York for a
few years.
Around the mid 1840's the family began it's migration
to Michigan. Thomas and Elizabeth settled in Clarkston, Oakland County,
Michigan. His children moved into and around Lapeer, County. Thomas was
heavily involved in the politics of Oakland County.
On 01 May
1861 Thomas died. He was 69. He is buried in the Old Shurter Cemetery,
Independence Township, Oakland County, Michigan. Elizabeth moved to
Lapeer County to stay with one son or another untill her death.

Silas G. MCINTYRE: Born about 1817 New York. Married Sophia E. POTTER (or PORTER ?) She was born 20 October 1820 Pennsylvania. She died 17 August 1890 and is buried in Grant Township Cemetery, near Owendale, Huron County, Michigan. Silas G. is listed as the original owner and pioneer of eighty acres located in Elba Township, Lapeer County, Michigan. Silas and Sophia had three known children they are:
1) Thomas MCINTYRE | Born about 1853. He never married. |
2) Abraham MCINTYRE | Born 30 July 1859 in Lapeer County, Michigan. He died 09 August 1874 in Elba Township as the result of an "accidental shooting." |
3) Silas MCINTYRE | Born 23 June 1861 in Michigan and died 19 July 1910. |
Thomas T. MCINTYRE: Born about 1817 New York. Married Francis CITS. They lived in Lapeer County, Michigan. Francis is buried in Hadley Village Cemetery. The known children of Thomas and Francis are:
1) Mary E. MCINTYRE | Born 1848 She married Benjamin F. PARKER from Grant Township, Huron County, Michigan on 08 August 1869 in Elba Lapeer County. It was a double ceremony with her sister. |
2) Millissa D. MCINTYRE | Born 1851 Elba, Lapeer County. She married John R. THOMAS of Huron County, Michigan on 08 August 1869 in Elba, Lapeer County, Michigan. |
3) Joel D. MCINTYRE | Born 12 September 1862 Died 20 July 1865. He is buried in the Hadley Village Cemetery, Lapeer County, Michigan. |
Joel D. MCINTYRE: Born 05 December 1818 New York. Married Betsey P. HODGSON in 1849. She was born 30 March 1826 New York. Joel and Betsey lived in Elba, Lapeer County for awhile and then moved to Hadley, Michigan. She died 05 May 1881 and is buried in Hadley Village Cemetery, Lapeer County, Michigan. Joel died 24 June 1897 in "Dakota" and was "brot" back to Hadley, Michigan to be buried beside his "first wife". The known children of Joel and Betsey are:
1) Mary C. MCINTYRE | Born 20 August 1854 and she died 07 August 1865. She is buried in the Hadley Village Cemetery, Hadley, Michigan. |
2) Christena MCINTYRE | Born 21 August 1875. She married Ed PALMER. She died 03 March 1893. She is buried in the West Deerfield Township Cemetery, Lapeer County, Michigan. |
Roxana Isabelle MCINTYRE: Born 30 August 1828 Canada. She
married Albert Lyman SMITH Born 01 February 1828 New Hampshire.
He died 01 June 1890 and is buried in Rich Cemetery, Rich Township, Lapeer
County, Michigan. Roxana died from breast cancer on 04 June 1913 in Rich
Township. She is buried near her husband in Rich Cemetery.

2) Zana Eugene SMITH | Born 05 May 1859 Michigan. He married Jessie V. ___ Born 30 August 1863 died 18 March 1916. Zana died 30 May 1933 in Rich Township, Lapeer County. They are both buried in Rich Cemetery, Rich Township, Lapeer County Michigan. |
John Benjamin MCINTYRE: Born 03 April 1832 Newmarket,
Ontario, Canada. Married 1st on 14 January 1858 in Brandon Township, Oakland
County, Michigan, Phebe J. LAWRENCE Born 08 August 1838. She
was the daughter of David and Harriett E. LAWRENCE of Brandon Township, Oakland
County, Michigan. The ceremony was performed by the grooms father the Reverend
Thomas MCINTYRE. Phebe died 29 May 1865. There is a small gravestone next to
hers with the name "Johnny". John, Phebe and Johnny are buried beside each other
in the Rich Cemetery, Rich Township, Lapeer County, Michigan. John married 2nd,
20 October 1865 Charlotte CRAWFORD Born 1843 Oxford, Oakland
County, Michigan the daughter of Simeon Lucas CRAWFORD and Eliza MARTIN.
Charlotte was the first teacher at the MCINTYRE school in Rich Township. She
died 23 January 1932 and is buried in Millington Cemetery, Millington, Tuscola
County, Michigan. John married 3rd Elizabeth WILLIAMS born 02
December 1850 Canada the daughter of Isaac WILLIAMS and Polly EFLAND. There were
no children with this marriage. Elizabeth died 14 July 1904 of a bad heart. John
Benjamin died 25 October 1903. His estate was in court for many years.

He was born in Lapeer County the son of Eli THAYER (Eli died in Libby Prison, Richmond, Virginia as a P.O.W of the Civil War) and Jane POWELL. Myron died of a kidney infection 18 April 1927 Lapeer, County. Harriet C. died of heart failure 06 September 1949 Lapeer County. They are buried in Rich Cemetery, Lapeer County, Michigan. They had 8 children. The THAYER lineage is well documented. |

10) Grace MCINTYRE | Born 15 May 1878 Rich Township, Lapeer County, Michigan. She married on 29 December 1896 Stephen G. ATKINSON: Born 29 Sept. 1871 Michigan. The son of George and Elvira ATKINSON. Stephen died 03 August 1947. Grace died 29 June 1959 and both Stephen and Grace along with one son George Francis, born 21 November 1900 Michigan and died 07 July 1911, are buried in Millington Cemetery, Tuscola County, Michigan. |
Samuel "David" MCINTYRE: Born 15 December 1858
Lapeer County, Michigan. Married 1st, 1880, Katie MCDONALD
the daughter of Philo MCDONALD and Lucinda SMITH of Silverwood, Lapeer
County. Katie was born 20 October 1863 in Arkansas and died from an
accidental fall 11 October 1943 in Flint, Michigan as Kate CLARK wife of
Arthur D. CLARK. Kate and Arthur had no children together. Samuel David
married 2nd, 1903 Margaret E. KELCH the daughter of
John D. KELCH and Alice L. VANDERPOOL. Margaret was born 24 August 1884
Rich Township, Lapeer County, Michigan. Samuel David died from typhoid
27 September 1915 Rich Township, Lapeer County, Michigan. "David" and
Margaret are buried in unmarked graves next to each other in Rich
Cemetery, Lapeer County.
The children of Katie and "David" are:
1) James MCINTYRE | Born 29 December 1882 Lapeer, County. He married and moved to San Diego, California where he owned a gas station. They had no children. He died 03 June 1955 in San Diego, California. |
2) Marion Orville "Mo" MCINTYRE | Born 13 July 1883 Fostoria, Michigan. He married 1st, Esther COAL DEMMING: Born May !894 the daughter of E.W. DEMMING and Fannie A. COAL. Esther died 1915 of smallpox and is buried in Rich Cemetery, Lapeer County. They had no children. He married 2nd, 13 August 1917 Rhoda Jane JOHNSON a daughter of John JOHNSON and Annie B. VALENTINE. Rhoda was born 06 June 1896 in Wigan, England. Her family entered the U.S.A. through Ellis Island about 1899. While they were still in New York they saw Buffalo Bill's Wild West Show. She was very young but never forgot that show. She told her grandchildren the story. She died of cancer 27 April 1970 at her daughters home in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Marion Orvill died of an aneurysm in stomach 08 May 19962 in Flint, Michigan. Marion and Rhoda are buried in Rich Cemetery, Lapeer County, Michigan. Their children are: 1) David Johnson, 2) Francis Annie, 3) Loy Earl. |
3) Walter E. MCINTYRE | Born 1885 Lapeer County. Married Laura WOBUS: Born 1882 Michigan. Their children are: 1) Carl F.: Born 1915 and died as a young child probably in Saginaw County. 2) Neva B.: Born 1918 Saginaw County, Michigan. She married a man named MIKESELL. She died 17 October 1916 Pontiac, Michigan. 3) Clarabelle: Married Rienhold Schalkofski. |
4) Paul D. MCINTYRE | Born 24 June 1887 Lapeer County. Married Ida. Moved to Covina, California and died there 02 June 1956. They had no children. |
5) Earl MCINTYRE | Born 15 May 1889 Rich Township and died from diphtheria on 15 October 1889. |
6) Wallace (twin) MCINTYRE | Born 10 May 1891 Lapeer County and died from colic on 13 August 1891 Rich Township. |

9) Myron D. MCINTYRE | Born 20 December 1905 Silverwood, Lapeer County. He married September 1929 Capitola BALCHELOR, born 13 February 1913 LaGrand, Oregon, the daughter of Burton Lee BALCHELOR and Elma May DELORGE. Capitola died 13 April 1951 Lake Orion, Michigan. Myron died 13 December 1976 Rochester, Michigan. Their children are: 1) David Burton: Born 18 December 1931 Rich Township, Lapeer County and died 09 January 1932 Lapeer, County, Michigan. 2) Dorothea Marie. 3) Kenneth LeRoy: born 22 October 1935 LaGrand, Oregon. He died 23 October 1952 Korea. 4) Ella Jean: Born 13 August 1937 Fostoria, Michigan. She married 25 May 1973 Floyd Neal ROBERTSON, born 08 November 1938 Manilla, Arkansas the son of Alfred Floyd ROBERTSON and Jessie Lee ARNOLD. 5) Myron Glen. 6) Ruth Ellen. 7) Richard Samuel: Born 31 March 1943 Oxford, Michigan. He married 16 May 1970 Oxford, Michigan, Maxine RADER, born 15 July 1946 Goodrich, Michigan, the daughter of George and Ilene RADER. Richard died 10 January 1986 Detroit, Michigan.8. |

LYMAN: Born 24 March 1866 Piersonville, Marathon Township, Lapeer County the daughter of Benjamin LYMAN and Julia Marian KEYES. Emma died 28 August 1929 Rich Township. Marion M. died in 1944 Rich Township. Both are buried in Rich Cemetery, Lapeer County. Their children are:

Florence is living in Mayville, Michigan. John died 16 July 1962 Marlette, Michigan. Their children are: 1) Marjorie P. She married 1st, Robert NEIMAN. Married 2nd, Norman WILEY. 2) DeForest W. Born 02 April 1926 He never married. He's a teacher and lives in Lake Orion. |
