Gaskill, Jedediah, D. D. S., has been engaged in the practice of dentistry in the city of Lockport since 1849, and is one of the oldest practitioners in the county and possibly in the State. He was born on a farm in the town of Lockport, Niagara county, N. Y., January 17, 1822. He had the advantage of a liberal education, attending the public schools, the Lewiston Academy and the State Normal at Albany, from which he was graduated in the class of 1846. After teaching for one year he determined to study dentistry and entered the office of Dr. Chase of Lockport, and afterwards in the office of Dr. Atkinson of New York city, where he remained until 1849, when he began the practice of his profession on his own account in Lockport, where he has since resided, a period of nearly fifty years. Dr. Gaskill deservedly enjoys the confidence and a liberal share of the patronage of the citizens of Lockport and the country around about, and is popular with all who know him by reason of his well known integrity, liberality and courteous manners.
